My Journal

Hey folks, it's me again. I decided to share a couple entries from my personal journal today. Hope you enjoy....

Who would have thought? Just three weeks ago I was in the shelter waiting to leave the incessant barking and my kennel companion who didn’t understand my quiet side. Now I spend my days roaming my foster home fighting lions, monkeys, pigs, and things that squeak. My foster family has started calling me Jeb which is good because before they would just call me puppy. I may not be big but I am four months old and puppy cannot describe me.

I share my home with three other dogs and one furry thing that I think doesn’t like me. I just want to sniff and play, but it hisses and swipes at me. Sometimes it communicates with a low moaning growl to which I respond with an encouraging bark and play bow. I don’t think she knows dog language. Maybe later I will figure out what to do with it. For now I just have a feeling that I am being watched.

At first I was considered a mellow puppy but compared to the other dogs in the house I am a raging maniac. We are still learning how to play with one another but at least they speak my language. My foster family suggested I journal my time here to let maybe my forever homes get to know me. I am not sure what a forever home is but I hope to find out soon. I guess keep following if you want to know too.

- Jeb the Writer

________________________________________________________

Woof again. I want to tell about a place that has infinite dog toys, treats, and helpful people. My foster family calls it a store. I call it Jeb’s Alphadom. There were other dogs, but I am sure this place was just meant for me. We pranced in and I took over. There were so many toys; I didn’t know what to do. Then a human puppy helped me pick out a toy, then another, and then another. I soon had a treasure trove. My foster family said “I guess we have to buy them for him since he has slobbered all over them.” How ridicules! They were in my Alphadom, and I never slobber.

I just thought of something. Maybe Sammy the cat doesn’t like me because I have an Alphadom and she doesn’t. I will have to look into that.

- All toys play bow before Alpha Jeb.

Rescued From....

Hey again folks. Here's my chance to recognize and say thank you to all the folks who helped me out. I ended up in the Birmingham Jefferson County Alabama shelter. Thanks to folks like Phil & Garland from the shelter, plus the Bama Bully Rescue volunteers & all their supporters, I made it into foster care as you know. There were others involved I am sure but I don't know your names but say thank you too, you know who you are. I figured everyone should see my shelter photos (although they certainly do not show my best side). You can compare my latest photos and see that I am filling out more to my full bully potential. Thanks again all y'all.

Here's My Pibble Aunts

I figured it was time to show off my Aunts. Plus then I can put in more pictures of me. You may notice a theme in many of these. I have figured these people out and if I sit nicely I am getting them trained real good to give me treats. I learned that one real quick. They say I may be smart, but you and I KNOW that I am smart, eh?

When I sit it is easy to look cute and appear as if I deserve a treat.

OK, here's me (I am the one on the left) with my Aunts.
Meet Stormy Sky (middle) and Heather Belle (right).
Heather Belle is deaf but you would never know it.

They sleep too much.
But that is OK for me, then I can have all the treats to myself!

Unlike these sleepyheads I am ready to guard.

Here I was pretending to go to sleep but I am still ready.

I finally told Stormy to wake up and pay attention.

I am just constantly cute, right?

OK, I give up, no treats, no guard duty for me.

Surely you want to give me a treat, yes?

BATH TIME, YIKES!

Folks, do you see what they are doing to me!?!?!?
It just ain't fair I say.

Oh what I have to endure, the indignity of it all.

My Stoneface... I endure on....

Can't someone help me?

I guess I accept that what is, is.

Aren't we done yet?

If I look cute will you quit this ridiculousness?

Oh the joy of being done. This shaking feels so good.

There are reasons for my endurance. Can you guess what they are?

Wahoo! Treat time.

For goodies I will do practically anything.

Wasn't that bath supposed to take care of this itch?
That's what y'all said.

Time for guard duty.

Since Stormy Sky had a bath too I told my people to give her a treat also.

All that hard work wore me out. Time for rest.
See y'all again soon.
